Beach Bag Must Haves

I don't know about you guys, but I liiiiive for that one week out of the year that can be spent on vacation at the beach. I mean really, what's better than having your toes in the sand, a beautiful view, and not a care in the world? If I were a doctor, I'd prescribe a week of this to ALL teachers just so we can stay sane in the new school year!

My family and I have been coming every year to the same beach (Destin, FL) since I was literally a newborn.  We've seen Destin grow from a small beach town to a well-known destination. And one thing I've learned over the years is how to pack a beach bag. Check out my much needed beach bag essentials below!

Beach Bag Must Haves

  • Sunscreen: This is probably the most important thing I stick in my bag before heading down to the beach. I'm not so big into the spray stuff, so I choose a nice lotion to make sure I get completely covered. I also tried Coppertone's Clearly Shear Face screen this year and loved it! No breakouts, no oily feeling, and it did the job! Oh, and don't forget to protect those lips as well!
  • Beach Towel: I always make sure to get the oversized beach towels. There's nothing worse than getting down to the beach with a small towel that you can barely even sit on. If you have a SAM's Club near by, they have some of the cutest and most cost-friendly beach towels!
  • Sunglasses: I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. If you're prone to headaches, make sure you have some shades to keep from getting those awful "squinting at the sun all day" headaches!
  • Cover Up, Hat, Hair Ties: I usually get my cover ups from none other than Target. They're cute and affordable, so what more can you ask for?
  • Yeti: Of course I can't go anywhere without my monogrammed Yeti. It really was a lifesaver at the beach when it was almost 100 degrees and I thought I was going to melt. :) I also love the sand spike drink holders! There is nothing worse than getting sand into your drink, am I right?
  • A Good Summer Read: It's so relaxing to hear the sound of the waves while sitting in your beach chair and reading a good book.  I finally jumped on the Mary Kay Andrews train and read The Weekenders and Beach Town. I highly recommend them!
  • Baby Powder: Seems weird, right? Well, baby powder actually is the sand's worst enemy. When getting ready to apply another round of sunscreen, I use baby powder to get the sand off my skin. Literally just rub it in your hands and then to your skin, and wha laa! Sand is GONE!
Do you enjoy the beach just as much as I do? What are some of your beach bag must haves? We'd love to hear from you!

  1. Don't forget the ladder ball set and tent/umbrella. ! The ladder ball set is a must have for those of us who are super competitive! The pop up canopy tent is also a necessity for moving into the shade every now and then!

  5. Hy there Guys, Hope you are all doing Great
Summer is just around the corner, and we’re sure that you can’t wait to enjoy a fun day with your family at the beach.
Be sure to pack sunscreens, hats, towels, food and most importantly a baby beach tent for your little one. New research studies recommend that children under 6 months of age should avoid sun exposure (Source). A beach tent not only offers protection for the little one,
but it also provides a relatively clean and sand-free space to put your baby to sleep or to change his diaper
Investing in a good quality toddler best beach tent will go a long way in helping you and your family enjoy a safe and stress-free holiday at the beach.
A baby beach tent is lightweight and easily portable for your convenience. When you go for beach tent shopping,
you have to be very thoughtful about what kind of beach tent would you like to invest in, considering its safety and quality features.
